Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Somerset, NJ (Full-time onsite)

What you will do

• Oversee the complete packaging development process from design and prototyping to performance testing.
• Troubleshoot packaging issues related to designs, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Analyze engineering specifications to determine handling, safety, and material requirements.
• Select and manage packaging suppliers, conducting periodic vendor reviews and establishing quality standards.
• Collaborate with R&D chemists and manufacturing teams to ensure formula-packaging compatibility and manufacturability.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across materials, labor, and logistics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or packaging engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial or consumer packaging.
• Proficiency in CAD software and SolidWorks is required.
• Experience in a regulated environment (FDA) and with hazardous goods (lithium batteries, fragrance solvents).
• Strong understanding of packaging design validation standards (ISO, ASTM).
• Must be able to work full-time onsite in Somerset, NJ.

• ISO 9001 certification (CQA, CQE, CQIA).
• Project management certification.
• Experience in personal fragrance, home scent, or OTC beauty categories.
