Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer

What you will do

• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings for mechanical components, enclosures, and chassis.
• Support thermal management design, including heat sinks, airflow features, and cooling components.
• Perform basic thermal, mechanical, and tolerance analyses using standard engineering tools.
• Assist with prototype builds, product testing, design verification, and troubleshooting of mechanical and thermal issues.
• Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and prototype vendors to support product development and production.
• Maintain engineering documentation, including specifications, test reports, and engineering change orders, while applying DFM and DFA principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Typically 3–5 years of mechanical design experience in electronics, computing hardware, or related products.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo.
• Basic understanding of thermal management, materials, mechanical design principles, and engineering analysis.
• Experience supporting prototype development, validation testing, and laboratory testing methods.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience designing mechanical components for electronic systems.
• Familiarity with sheet metal, machined, molded, or die-cast parts.
• Experience with thermal testing, data analysis, manufacturing suppliers, or prototype vendors.
• Knowledge of product reliability and environmental compliance standards.
