What you will do

• Monitor team performance using KPIs and management information to drive coaching and operational efficiency.
• Review and decide outcomes for complex fraud investigations, providing clear rationale and escalation support.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the fraud team, overseeing training and onboarding for new specialists.
• Conduct regular team meetings and one-to-one sessions to provide constructive feedback and support.
• Stay informed on emerging fraud trends and implement process improvements, including the safe use of AI.
• Represent the fraud department in internal and external meetings and support senior leadership on project work.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK with the ability to work in the London office 1 day per week.
• Proven leadership experience within fraud operations, ideally in a fintech or digital banking environment.
• Strong working knowledge of fraud typologies, AML laws, and PSR regulations.
• Hands-on experience handling complex fraud investigations across multiple products.
• Ability to use performance data to make decisions, target coaching, and influence stakeholders.
• Flexibility to work scheduled shifts between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm, including weekend rotations.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with machine learning-driven fraud detection systems like LexisNexis.
• Experience using AI in fraud processes and adapting to evolving technologies.
• Experience with intelligence-sharing networks or industry working groups.
• Previous experience liaising with police and making fraud referrals.
