TL;DR

Location: Hybrid (London, UK) — Requirement to be in the office three days per week

What you will do

  • Own the strategy to improve approval rates for high credit lines, identifying friction points and decline drivers.
  • Define underwriting policies, escalation paths, and structured exception frameworks for high-line decisions.
  • Partner with Analytics and Data Science to deliver a differentiated decision engine for complex B2B clients.
  • Drive decisioning efficiency through workflow automation and operational tooling.
  • Act as the senior credit strategy partner to the product team, aligning policy with growth goals and client experience.
  • Establish comprehensive performance reporting for pass rates, approval time, and loss metrics.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of experience in credit strategy, underwriting, risk, or portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated success in improving approval rates while maintaining portfolio performance.
  • Strong quantitative skills in policy analytics, segmentation, and cohort analysis.
  • Experience partnering with data science teams and utilizing credit bureau data.
  • Must be based in London to support the hybrid work model (3 days/week in office).

Nice to have

  • Experience in payments, AP automation, or the fintech industry.
  • Knowledge of fraud and identity controls intersecting with credit outcomes.
  • Experience designing governance for large exposures and escalations.
