What you will do

• Design and build migration systems to move millions of rows of customer data from legacy systems into the platform.
• Map heterogeneous source data from CAD/RMS exports and third-party databases into the core data model.
• Own end-to-end migration correctness, including validation, reconciliation, and audit reporting.
• Build tooling to make data conversions repeatable, auditable, and automated.
• Optimize query performance and storage costs for large-scale datasets.
• Collaborate with Product and Operations teams to support agency onboarding commitments.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software or data engineering experience.
• Proven experience with high-volume ETL or data migration in production environments.
• Strong SQL skills and expertise in schema design and query optimization.
• Programming proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar language.
• Experience extracting data from relational and document-store operational databases.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and comfortable with AWS production environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with legacy system conversions (CAD/RMS, ERP, EHR).
• Knowledge of streaming and event-driven systems like Kafka or Kinesis.
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Airflow, or Dagster.
• Experience in compliance-heavy domains like CJIS, FedRAMP, or SOC 2.
