What you will do
- Perform assigned service tasks for UPS, power distribution units, and battery system products, including installation and commissioning.
- Provide on-site and phone assistance to customers and coordinate technical/procedural issues with Technical Support.
- Implement Field Change Notices and keep up with safety bulletins, safety field change notices, and service tips.
- Complete required administrative work (timecards, expense/mileage reports, service request closures, and service reports) and maintain inventory/cycle counts.
- Drive customer satisfaction by communicating clearly, documenting maintenance properly, and aiming for a first-time fix.
- Operate safely and meet on-site response time requirements, including adherence to the “14 hours rule”.
Requirements
- Work authorization: legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant industry experience, or 4+ years of military experience in a related technical field (one or more preferred certifications such as ASEET/AMEET or progress toward).
- Ability to communicate professionally in written and verbal forms and manage time between technical and administrative tasks.
- Familiarity with electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals; ability to follow written technical documentation and perform basic fix/repair under supervision.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently and occasionally up to 75 pounds; ability to work in safety-sensitive conditions and complete pre-employment drug test, background check, and motor vehicle records check.
