What you will do

• Set up and operate Colchester lathes and Sunnen honing equipment.
• Machine aerospace components to extremely tight tolerances.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust parameters to maintain quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating Colchester lathes and Sunnen honing machines.
• Background in precision engineering, aerospace, or high-specification manufacturing.
• Ability to work confidently to tight tolerances, often within microns.
• Strong understanding of machining principles and metal-cutting processes.
• Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Machining.
• Must be able to work onsite in Wolverhampton, GBR.

Nice to have

• Aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards.
• Experience working with aerospace materials like Titanium, Inconel, and Stainless Steel.
