Project Safety Officer (Logistics & Automation)

What you will do

• Provide WHSE advisory support and drive a proactive safety culture on site.
• Perform site inspections, audits, risk assessments, and facilitate site inductions and toolbox talks.
• Review and support Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), procedures, and permits.
• Implement and improve the Site Safety Management Plan and investigate incidents.
• Manage subcontractor onboarding and liaise with builders and client representatives.
• Maintain safety reporting systems, hazard registers, and risk registers.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Health & Safety, WHS, OHS, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a site-based safety position.
• Experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or commercial project environments.
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management principles.
• White Card and Australian Driver's Licence.
• Proven ability to influence safe behaviours across diverse stakeholder groups.

Nice to have

• Experience within automation, industrial equipment, manufacturing, or commissioning.
• Knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), isolation processes, and electrical safety practices.
