Principal Build Reliability Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Evaluate product and process output data to drive improvements in manufacturing quality.
• Participate in PDR/CDR to ensure Design for Quality (DFQ) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
• Lead inspection planning for new products and design new measurement methods using MSA tools.
• Facilitate First Build Reviews and develop engineering walk-down criteria for major product milestones.
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
• Review and approve Engineering Orders, Work Orders, and specifications for regulatory compliance and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in aerospace, manufacturing, materials, mechanical engineering, or physics.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a quality, manufacturing, or design engineering role.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR compliance).
• Ability to travel up to 30% and lift more than 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with complex electro-mechanical, mechanical, or composites systems during production ramp-up.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, APQP, Metrology, and PFMEA.
