Power BI Developer (Data Analytics)

TL;DR

Power BI Developer (Data Analytics): Developing and sustaining interactive, role-based dashboards for Army sustainment data with an accent on data modeling, quality validation, and complex metric definition. Focus on building production-grade reporting solutions that support senior-leader decision-making within the U.S. federal government infrastructure.

Location: Remote (US). Must be able to travel to Fort Lee, Virginia, at least three times annually and report onsite more frequently if directed.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for supply, maintenance, and financial performance.
• Conduct source-data profiling and ensure data quality through rigorous validation.
• Define KPIs and business measures in collaboration with operational SMEs.
• Implement complex DAX, Power Query logic, and semantic models.
• Reconcile dashboard results against authoritative source data.
• Prepare technical documentation, data dictionaries, and knowledge-transfer materials.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Five or more years of experience in BI, analytics, or data analysis.
• Four or more years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, DAX, and Power Query.
• Ability to work during normal U.S. Government working hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with GCSS-Army, SAP ECC, or other Army data systems.
• Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Experience with Python, R, or Excel Power Pivot.
• Background in supply, maintenance, or readiness analytics.
