What you will do

• Perform venipunctures to obtain blood specimens and maintain specimen integrity using aseptic techniques and department protocols.
• Verify patient identity and test requisitions by cross-referencing EMR records and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and maintain accurate collection logs and daily tracking.
• Coordinate patient care services: access patient records, schedule appointments, align blood draw times, and support continuity of care.
• Act as primary liaison for accounts and Sales by documenting interactions and responding to inquiries to resolve issues and maintain turnaround time (TAT).
• Ensure quality assurance and compliance by following CAP CLIA standards and recording outcomes in quality control logs.

Requirements

• Minimum 5–7 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Oncology experience required.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required; BS/BA preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certificate required as required by state regulations.
• Must complete clinic-specific pre-employment and compliance requirements (e.g., background screening, drug/alcohol screening, licensure/certification verification, immunization records or titers, TB testing/mask fit testing if required, and onboarding training).
• Office-based clinic setting with scrubs required; work schedule determined by clinic requirements.
