Quantitative Research Analyst (Data Science)

TL;DR

Quantitative Research Analyst (Data Science/Fintech): Designing and building statistical and machine learning models on proprietary private market datasets with an accent on turning raw data into differentiated products and institutional insights. Focus on developing proprietary indexes, analytical tools, and authoring research on market implications.

Location: Onsite in Seattle, Washington. Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 annual base + 7.5% target bonus.

What you will do

• Design, build, and validate statistical and machine learning models using proprietary datasets.
• Manage the full lifecycle of analytical tools from prototyping and validation to production and delivery.
• Author and publish research explaining methodologies and their implications for private capital markets.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data Operations groups.
• Serve as a market expert, responding to inquiries from clients, press, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Statistics, CS, Data Science, or Mathematics).
• 3+ years of experience in quantitative research, data science, or ML engineering.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Strong communication skills for both verbal and written research delivery.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch) and SQL.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts like DCF modeling, IRR, and asset allocation.
• Experience working with large datasets in an investment research context.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using AI tools for efficiency.
• Prior experience with the hirify.global Platform.
