Engineering Technician (Electrical)

What you will do

• Assemble, modify, and troubleshoot circuit boards, cable assemblies, and prototype systems under engineering direction.
• Perform PWA assembly and rework, including soldering components and completing board-level modifications.
• Install and integrate electrical assemblies, sensors, and related hardware into prototype equipment and development systems.
• Use oscilloscopes, meters, and logic analyzers to identify electrical issues and verify corrective actions.
• Support circuit board programming, board bring-up, and functional verification activities.
• Maintain engineering documentation, including wiring diagrams and work instructions in ERP, PLM, and Jira.

Requirements

• 2-year technical degree or comparable training (e.g., military electronics program).
• 2+ years of electrical or electromechanical technician experience in a prototype or development environment.
• Hands-on proficiency in soldering, PWA rework, and reading electrical schematics.
• Experience operating electrical lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and power supplies.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work within the US.

Nice to have

• 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Experience with SMT rework and fine-pitch soldering.
• Knowledge of smart card, RFID, NFC, printing, or motion control systems.
• Familiarity with engineering workflow systems (ERP, PLM, ECO, Jira).
• Openness to using AI-assisted tools to improve documentation and workflow efficiency.
