What you will do

• Resolve complex strategic issues and develop bespoke solutions for untested technologies with large-scale impact.
• Write, test, and maintain high-quality code independently.
• Champion emerging software engineering trends and share knowledge across the team.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap aligned with business needs and engineering goals.
• Foster an engineering culture of innovation, predictability, and reliability.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum model using SRE and DevOps practices to impact critical projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Software Solution Development.
• Strong understanding of Linux, Security, Virtualization, and Networks fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Ruby, Python, or Java.
• Experience building and orchestrating containers with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP.
• Location: Must be based in the UK (Ipswich or Birmingham)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and automated pipelines.
• Experience with cloud network stacks (VPC, Security groups, ACLs, VPN).
• Experience managing virtual instances on cloud (VMs, EC2).
