Full Stack Software Engineer I

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; candidates must currently be based in the Netherlands. Hybrid working is available, including flexible work-from-home arrangements and up to 20 days per year working from abroad in the home country.

What you will do

• Design and implement end-to-end product features with UX designers, data scientists, and developers.
• Evaluate customer needs, programming languages, architectures, and technical risks to develop suitable solutions.
• Build scalable, flexible, and high-performance systems while monitoring and adjusting SLIs and SLOs.
• Deploy and maintain software in production and proactively reduce technical debt.
• Apply modern development methodologies and tools to increase business impact.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a relevant software development role, preferably in a commercial environment.
• Experience with JavaScript and React, plus one or more of Java, TypeScript, Scala, Go, Python, PHP, C++, Perl, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend architecture, including micro frontends, SSR, SPA, responsive design, progressive enhancement, and graceful degradation.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases.
• Ability to write high-performance reusable code and unit and integration tests.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; candidates must currently be based in the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of GraphQL.
• Experience with analytics, A/B testing, and other data-driven product development practices.
