What you will do
- Build comprehensive Civil 3D 3D models for underground wet utility networks (storm drainage, sanitary sewers, water distribution, culverts, tanks, catch basins) and roadway/grade/surface elements.
- Manage BIM data in multi-user environments using Autodesk Construction Cloud and Autodesk Desktop Connector (data shortcuts and drawing references).
- Coordinate modeling with civil, utility, and roadway engineers for existing, staged, and proposed site servicing, grading, and drainage designs.
- Produce plan, profile, and cross-section model and sheet files for design, construction, and regulatory submissions.
- Set up and customize object styles, label styles, pipe network styles, part lists, and sheet sets to meet project standards.
- Run interdisciplinary clash detection and maintain model integrity for revisions, phasing, and as-built turnover.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of civil modeling experience, including at least 3 years specifically with Autodesk Civil 3D, covering both underground utilities and road/surface design.
- Mandatory proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Desktop Connector, and Bluebeam Revu.
- Experience modeling stormwater management systems and pressure/gravity-fed networks, plus large-scale roadway and pavement infrastructure.
- Ability to integrate data from GIS, survey, and as-built drawings into coordinated BIM/CAD environments.
- Strong knowledge of applicable Ontario/Canadian standards and codes (OPSD, OTM Book 7, MOE/MTO guidelines, Transport Canada, ICAO), with excellent documentation, coordination, and version control.
