What you will do

• Establish and maintain the bookkeeping setup using tools like QuickBooks or Xero and Google Sheets.
• Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts, payment processors like Stripe and PayPal, and Wise.
• Track cash positions and provide daily reports to leadership on movements and financial status.
• Support the monthly close process by preparing reconciliations and keeping records audit-ready.
• Partner with Finance and People & Culture teams on payroll, commission, and bonus documentation.
• Flag financial anomalies, discrepancies, and cash risks proactively.

Requirements

• Solid bookkeeping experience, ideally within an ecommerce or DTC business environment.
• Proven ability to set up bookkeeping systems from a clean slate without existing ERPs.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero combined with advanced Google Sheets and Excel skills.
• Experience reconciling multiple payment processors and currencies in high-volume environments.
• Strong written English for effective async communication.
• Meticulous accuracy and discretion with confidential financial data.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-entity or multi-brand bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with Shopify and global contractor payment flows like Wise.
• Background in standing up finance operations from scratch.
