TL;DR

Application Support Engineer - IRESS Xplan (Xplan): Supporting and enhancing the IRESS Xplan platform with an accent on maintaining solutions, delivering configuration changes, and improving workflows and reporting. Focus on end-to-end lifecycle work for Xplan enhancements, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement with strong data accuracy and stakeholder communication.

Location: Glasgow - Hybrid working (2 days per week in the office)

Salary: Basic salary up to £77k

hirify.global hires for a collaborative technology team supporting and enhancing the organisation’s IRESS Xplan platform.

What you will do

  • Maintain and improve IRESS Xplan solutions, including configuration changes and workflow enhancements.
  • Develop and support reporting capabilities by creating and improving Xplan reports and templates.
  • Work across the full lifecycle of Xplan changes: requirements, enhancements, deployments, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, application engineers, data teams, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable platform outcomes.
  • Use structured problem-solving to resolve incidents and improve data accuracy and quality.

Requirements

  • Strong experience supporting, developing, and maintaining IRESS Xplan solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Xplan configuration, workflows, and platform enhancements.
  • Experience developing solutions using Xmerge, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience creating and improving IRESS Xplan reports and templates.
  • Exposure to reporting/data tools including Power BI, Alteryx, and/or Snowflake.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in an agile environment.
