What you will do

• Develop backend systems powering platform transactions, including dynamic earnings, fees, and costs.
• Implement and maintain tax and cross-border duties logic for international commerce.
• Build scalable workflows for returns, refunds, and seller payouts at marketplace scale.
• Own projects from inception through production and ongoing improvements.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to ship features quickly while making sound trade-offs.
• Support frontend work when required and adapt to new technologies quickly.

Requirements

• Location: Must be within commuting distance of the Dublin hub.
• 3–5+ years of software development experience building scalable systems for very high user volumes.
• Comfort working with multiple programming languages; primarily Python, Elixir, and JavaScript.
• Strong product instincts and ability to prioritize user outcomes over purely technical solutions.
• Proven track record of delivering features and solving problems independently.
• Ability to mentor others and contribute to inclusive, supportive team practices.
