What you will do

• Coordinate procurement of pre-production/production hardware and capital equipment, including sourcing, purchasing, tracking, and installation.
• Manage purchase orders and maintain accurate inventory of lab assets (systems, components, equipment).
• Support lab IT/network setup and maintenance, including lab user access administration and compliance with security and safety standards.
• Coordinate facility and infrastructure needs (e.g., HVAC, power, workspace readiness).
• Prepare OEM laptop systems for testing (hardware upgrades like SSD/memory and BIOS/firmware updates).
• Execute system-level performance benchmarks (e.g., Geekbench, Cinebench, SPEC, 3DMark) using accurate, repeatable test plans.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a technical field OR equivalent work experience.
• 1 year of experience in lab operations, technical support, or an engineering environment.
• Basic IT/network setup and troubleshooting.
• On-site presence in Santa Clara every day (no remote/no hybrid option).

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree (BS) in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering with 2–3 years of experience.
• Experience with capital equipment procurement and installation in a lab/technical environment.
• Familiarity with enterprise tools for asset tracking and procurement (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
• Experience supporting hardware/validation labs or data center environments.
• Familiarity with benchmarking OEM laptops and industry benchmarks (e.g., SPEC CPU, Cinebench, Geekbench, 3DMark).
