What you will do

• Measure, analyze, and debug workloads on OEM notebook/laptop systems for internal analysis and external communications.
• Measure and analyze SoC/CPU and platform power rail-by-rail, identifying issues and gaps.
• Set up instrumented OEM systems for power and performance measurements, including setup, calibration, and data collection.
• Analyze power/performance workload behaviors and help tune for future platforms.
• Compare internal silicon/SoC data vs. Intel OEM implementations and support competitive analysis and projections.
• Partner with engineering, field account, and marketing stakeholders to guide power/performance positioning for Intel products.

Requirements

• On-site requirement: Santa Clara on-site everyday (no remote/no hybrid option).
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant experience.
• Understanding of power measurement/instrumentation methodologies and concepts.
• 1 year of basic soldering experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical audiences.

Nice to have

• 2–4 years of experience and hands-on instrumentation experience with phones, tablets, or laptops.
• Expert micro soldering experience.
• Experience in post-silicon engineering environments.
• Familiarity with industry benchmarks (e.g., SPEC, Speedometer, Cinebench, Geekbench, Procyon, MobileMark, 3DMark).
• Strong knowledge of CPU micro-architecture (x86 or ARM).
