Salary: $150,000–$160,000 per year.

What you will do

• Define canonical data models and enterprise standards for schema design and data lifecycle management.
• Architect solutions across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data stores including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Design and govern streaming data architectures and event-driven pipelines using platforms like Kafka or Kinesis.
• Lead performance optimization efforts, including query tuning, indexing, and capacity planning for high-volume systems.
• Develop data warehousing architectures and BI reporting models to support analytical and operational needs.
• Apply an AI-first mindset to design metadata and retrieval patterns that support machine learning and automation.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to commute to Atlanta, GA.
• Strong hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB in production environments.
• Expertise in data modeling, canonical model definition, and database normalization strategies.
• Proven experience designing and operating streaming solutions and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with caching solutions like Redis and performance troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex architectural decisions to diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-native data services in AWS, Azure, or GovCloud.
• Background in data governance, lineage, security, and compliance.
• Experience modernizing legacy data platforms or leading large-scale migrations.
• Domain knowledge in public safety, law enforcement, or mission-critical SaaS platforms.
