Asylum Program Data and Operations Intern

What you will do

• Support the purchasing, tracking, distribution, and documentation of gift cards and other client financial assistance.
• Assist with data entry, data quality assurance, routine data reviews, reporting, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Help develop, implement, and test operational systems, workflows, and process improvements.
• Use approved tools including Excel, SharePoint, Power Automate, Forms, Bookings, Power BI, and Box.
• Document workflows, procedures, and system processes to support consistency and knowledge sharing.
• Provide occasional support for client-facing activities such as orientation, intake, enrollment, and documentation collection.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a university, college, or other post-secondary program; applicants with at least two years of relevant professional or direct service experience may also be considered.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills required.
• Commitment to confidentiality, data protection, cultural humility, and respectful engagement with people affected by trauma and displacement.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SharePoint, Power Automate, Forms, or Power BI.
• Experience in social services, community-based organizations, immigration services, research, data management, or related fields.
