TL;DR
Software Engineer (React/Node.js): Developing innovative discovery features for the 's VOD platform with an accent on migrating legacy frameworks to a new pan- architecture. Focus on building high-impact digital experiences, implementing resilient CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring system stability through TDD.
Location: Hybrid (London) - Must be able to work from the office 1 day per week

What you will do
- Design software to meet complex product and business needs, creating specifications at the feature and component level.
- Execute the migration from legacy frameworks to a new pan- architecture.
- Enforce best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation using React and modern tools.
- Participate in agile methodologies, including pair programming, code reviews, and continuous delivery.
- Contribute to the UK's fastest-growing VOD platform, impacting millions of users.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, CSS, React, and Node.js.
- Experience with testing frameworks and utilities such as Mocha and Sinon.
- Experience maintaining robust production software within rapid release cycles.
- Knowledge of building infrastructure on cloud platforms and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Must identify as deaf, disabled or neurodivergent to be eligible for the Extend programme.
- Must be based in the UK and able to commute to London once a week.
Nice to have
- Experience developing on AWS.
- Proficiency with GraphQL and RESTful APIs.
- Previous experience as an On-Call engineer.
- Experience in a professional software development environment across multiple projects.
