What you will do

• Design and evolve maintainable software systems balancing product needs and operational reliability.
• Utilize AI-assisted and agentic coding tools to accelerate implementation, testing, and debugging.
• Decompose ambiguous technical problems into clear implementation paths and trade-offs.
• Modernize legacy systems incrementally to reduce technical debt while preserving reliability.
• Collaborate across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Lead technical discussions and contribute to code reviews and engineering practices to improve team effectiveness.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United Kingdom.
• Strong professional experience using AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows.
• Proven architectural and systems design judgment regarding scalability and maintainability.
• Proficiency in React or other modern frontend systems.
• Experience with Rust, Go, TypeScript, or comparable strongly engineered backend ecosystems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud infrastructure and CI/CD automation.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring other engineers through code reviews and technical coaching.
• Background in modernizing legacy systems through incremental, low-risk changes.
