Software Development Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Lead a team of high-caliber software engineers to build and scale the Rufus AI assistant.
• Collaborate with scientists, economists, and product leaders to turn generative AI shopping into a core business pillar.
• Design and architect world-class, scalable software systems and multi-tier web services.
• Oversee the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, build processes, and livesite operations.
• Partner with product and program management teams to define and deliver technical roadmaps.

Requirements

• Experience managing teams of software engineers delivering complex, scalable systems to customers.
• Strong expertise in system architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Deep knowledge of SDLC, including code reviews, source control, and testing.
• Must be based in or have valid work authorization for London, UK

• Experience communicating technical designs and product strategy to senior leadership.
• Proven track record in recruiting, hiring, and mentoring software engineers.
• Ability to deliver products in fast-paced, multi-disciplined, and ambiguous environments.
