TL;DR

What you will do

  • Own the technical win by driving pre-sales engagements, from initial discovery to final solution validation.
  • Lead hands-on product pilots and POCs, including JVM installation, configuration, and workload execution in customer environments.
  • Run performance-focused engagements to measure latency, throughput, and GC pause behavior against competitors.
  • Navigate complex enterprise sales cycles involving strict SLAs, security reviews, and multi-stakeholder coordination.
  • Deliver technical presentations and demos tailored for audiences ranging from developers to CxOs.
  • Mentor other Sales Engineers on pilot planning, execution, and onboarding.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States or Canada.
  • 5+ years in a Sales Engineering or pre-sales role supporting enterprise software (Java, middleware, or infrastructure).
  • 3+ years of hands-on Java development or testing experience with strong command of Java architecture.
  • Proven track record of executing performance-related POCs and measuring technical results in customer environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related IT discipline.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 30%.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in an IT or business discipline.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency with MEDDICC sales process and Salesforce CRM.
