What you will do

• Own and manage infrastructure-as-code at scale using Terraform
• Operate and scale Elasticsearch for user-facing features
• Manage GCP services including Kubernetes, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Logging
• Scale and shard relational databases like MySQL and Postgres in production
• Lead incident response, on-call rotations, and conduct postmortems
• Collaborate with engineering teams to meet infrastructure needs and improve reliability

Requirements

• Location: Must work onsite in New York City, NY, USA
• Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code at scale
• Hands-on experience running Elasticsearch for user-facing features
• Deep knowledge of GCP including Kubernetes and managed services
• Proven ability to scale and shard MySQL and Postgres databases
• Calm and effective incident response and communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience working in startups and scale-up environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and CircleCI
• Knowledge of backend technologies like Java, Redis, RabbitMQ
