Principal Signal Processing Engineer (Cardiac Ablation Solutions)

Location: Newton, Massachusetts, United States; minimum 4 days per week onsite

Salary: $152,800–$229,200 per year for U.S. locations excluding Puerto Rico and specific California locations; eligible for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and test signal processing algorithms for medical devices.
• Implement high-performance, high-reliability production code for cardiac ablation applications.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering on electronics and firmware supporting signal processing requirements.
• Manage signal processing pipelines within Affera software products.
• Verify and validate signal processing and computational algorithms.
• Analyze bench, preclinical, and clinical data to guide design and verification decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 5 years, or a PhD with at least 3 years.
• Extensive experience designing, developing, and testing real-time, high-performance, high-reliability digital signal processing or computational software.
• Deep understanding of signal processing fundamentals, including continuous and discrete filter design and statistics.
• Experience programming in Python and C++ and developing software on Linux.
• Ability to work onsite in Newton, Massachusetts at least 4 days per week.
• U.S. work authorization sponsorship is offered for Principal-level roles and above; the role requires compliance with applicable U.S. employment authorization requirements.

Nice to have

• Machine learning development experience, including dataset annotation, model development, system validation, and production deployment.
• Knowledge of cardiac pacing, mapping, ablation, body impedance measurements, or cardiac electrophysiology.
• Hands-on R&D experience with custom or prototype hardware.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
