What you will do

• Lead the assessment and design of the observability strategy for a large-scale co-location migration program.
• Establish performance baselines for compute, storage, and networking to compare pre- and post-migration health.
• Design comprehensive monitoring for monolithic application estates, focusing on latency-sensitive interdependencies.
• Standardize centralized logging and distributed tracing to ensure consistent metadata and correlation across systems.
• Optimize alerting thresholds and implement intelligent alerts aligned to critical business services and customer journeys.
• Ensure observability solutions comply with financial services regulatory requirements for auditability and data governance.

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing enterprise observability solutions for large-scale infrastructure or data center migrations.
• Deep expertise in metrics, logging, distributed tracing, and Application Performance Monitoring (APM).
• Proven experience monitoring latency-sensitive, business-critical enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of virtualization, networking, storage, databases, and middleware monitoring.
• Knowledge of financial services operational resilience and regulatory audit requirements.
• Location: Must be based in or be able to work hybridly from Bristol, UK
