Software Engineer - Full-Stack (React) (Fintech)

What you will do

• Develop and improve software across web, mobile, and backend services for investment and dealing journeys.
• Build customer-facing experiences with React and React Native and contribute to supporting APIs and services.
• Develop cloud-native and distributed systems that are reliable, performant, scalable, secure, and compliant with financial-sector regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver features and enhancements.
• Write maintainable code, participate in code reviews, document technical decisions, and contribute to continuous engineering improvement.
• Develop automated tests and participate in technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and communities of practice.

Requirements

• Commercial experience developing modern applications with TypeScript and React.
• Knowledge of frontend engineering, component-based architecture, state management, performance optimisation, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and/or GraphQL services.
• Experience with AWS, cloud-native development, CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software delivery practices.
• Understanding of secure coding, accessibility including WCAG and keyboard navigation, software design patterns, and maintainable engineering practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional Agile teams and contribute to technical discussions.

Nice to have

• Production experience with React Native.
• Experience with PHP or Java applications and services.
• Backend services, APIs, microservices, or distributed systems experience.
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as financial services.
