Fullstack Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Fullstack Engineer (Go/Node/React): Developing new product opportunities in an internal incubator squad for a flexible car insurance platform with an accent on bridging the gap between backend, web, product, and design. Focus on building scalable microservices, internal dashboards, and AI-powered features to improve customer experience.

Location: Hybrid - Must be based in the UK and able to visit the London office a couple of times a month

Salary: £72,000 - £82,500

What you will do

• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code across the stack using React, Go, and Node.
• Collaborate with Designers and PMs to deliver features from early discovery to production.
• Build and maintain APIs, microservices, and internal dashboards to improve operations.
• Contribute to the design system and ensure high-quality frontend implementation.
• Support infrastructure automation, deployment pipelines, and observability initiatives.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to raising the bar for engineering practices.

Requirements

• Solid backend knowledge with Golang and/or NodeJS, plus experience with microservices.
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend frameworks (React, Redux).
• Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless services.
• Understanding of databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB for distributed systems.
• Must be based in the UK to support occasional office visits to London.
• Automation-first mindset and ability to use AI tools to accelerate development.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment.
• Experience as a Product Engineer owning problems end-to-end.
• Ability to use data and experimentation to inform technical and product decisions.
