Customer Success & Onboarding Manager (Fintech)
Kanzum is a B2B fintech platform providing embedded financial infrastructure, SaaS solutions, and cross-border payment capabilities across Africa, MENA, and Asia.
The Role
You will be the first point of contact for new prospects entering our funnel and will play a key role in converting interest into successful client activation.
Your mission is to engage potential customers, understand their needs, qualify opportunities, coordinate onboarding, and help clients achieve their first successful experience with transactions in Kanzum. You will work closely with Founder, Marketing, Product and Compliance teams, helping shape both our customer journey and product development through direct market insights.
What You'll Do
Customer Development & Qualification
- Act as the first line of communication for inbound leads and marketing-generated opportunities.
- Understand customer workflows, pain points, and payment requirements.
- Conduct initial discovery and Customer Development calls.
Customer Onboarding
- Manage the onboarding journey from qualification through activation.
- Coordinate onboarding requirements across Compliance, Operations, and Product teams.
- Guide clients through KYB/KYC and onboarding processes where required.
- Ensure customers complete setup and reach their first successful use of the platform.
- Monitor onboarding progress and proactively remove blockers.
Customer Success & Operations
- Maintain accurate customer records and communication history in HubSpot.
- Keep pipelines updated and ensure proper follow-up across all stages.
- Support newly onboarded customers during their early stages of product adoption.
- Help drive customer engagement and long-term retention.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Client Operations, Onboarding, Customer Development, or a similar client-facing role.
- Experience working with SaaS products, fintech platforms, payment solutions, or other B2B technology products.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to lead discovery conversations and uncover customer needs.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working with CRM systems (HubSpot experience is a plus).
- High ownership and ability to operate independently in a fast-growing startup environment.
- Excellent English (C1+ written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, payments, banking, FX, treasury, or cross-border payments.
- Understanding of KYB/KYC, compliance, or regulated onboarding processes.
- Experience working with customers across Africa, MENA, or Asia.
- Additional languages such as Arabic and/or French.
