Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Power Systems

Location: Madrid, Spain; regular on-site support at contract manufacturer and supplier facilities is required.

What you will do

• Lead industrialization, production ramp, and continuous improvement for inverters, transformers, switchgears, and complete power electronics systems.
• Act as the primary manufacturing engineering interface for contract manufacturers and suppliers.
• Develop and standardize assembly, functional testing, final system integration, and production control processes.
• Drive cost reduction through line balancing, process optimization, workflow improvements, and Lean Manufacturing.
• Analyze production capacity, throughput, cycle time, first-pass yield, downtime, bottlenecks, rework, and scrap.
• Conduct on-site production reviews, process audits, DFMEA reviews, and manufacturing assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, written and spoken, is required.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in power electronics, industrial equipment, renewable energy, high-power electrical systems, automotive, or related industries.
• Experience with complex electromechanical assembly and test operations, NPI, production ramp, and manufacturing scale-up.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA, DFMEA, control plans, root cause analysis, and process improvement methods.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with solar power electronics, high-voltage or high-current products, power conversion systems, automated test systems, or heavy assembly operations.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification.
• Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and manufacturing data analysis.
