TL;DR

Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Power Systems): Supporting the industrialization, production ramp, and continuous improvement of power electronics including inverters, transformers, and switchgears with an accent on manufacturing scalability and process optimization. Focus on leading the transition from NPI to mass production while ensuring safety, quality, and throughput across contract manufacturing facilities.

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary manufacturing engineering interface between internal teams and contract manufacturers.
  • Drive manufacturing readiness and operational execution for power electronics assembly and final system integration.
  • Conduct regular on-site support, production reviews, process audits, and DFMEA reviews at supplier facilities.
  • Implement cost reduction initiatives and improve manufacturing efficiency through line balancing and process optimization.
  • Develop and standardize manufacturing and test processes across production lines.
  • Establish manufacturing KPIs and operational controls to ensure process repeatability and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in power electronics, industrial equipment, or renewable energy.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is required.
  • Experience with NPI, production ramp, and manufacturing scale-up.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA/DFMEA, control plans, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience supporting complex electromechanical assembly and test operations.

Nice to have

  • Experience with solar power electronics, high-voltage/high-current products, and automated test systems.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and manufacturing data analysis.
