What you will do

• Create visual designs including charts, graphs, and interactives for digital products.
• Partner with content teams to develop design approaches that enhance storytelling.
• Collaborate with UX researchers to integrate user insights into design decisions.
• Prototype and develop interactive elements using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Implement interactive graphics directly into the content management system.
• Ensure brand consistency and accessibility across all digital platforms.

Requirements

• Must be based in one of the approved states: AZ, CA, CT, IL, MD, MA, MI, NH, NJ, NY, TX, VT, VA, or Washington, DC.
• Minimum 7 years of professional design experience for an information-driven digital publication.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating visual design, data visualization, and information graphics skills.
• Ability to code interactive designs for desktop and mobile environments.
• Understanding of basic data analysis to interpret raw data and identify key trends.
• Degree in design, computer science, or a related discipline.
