Supplier Development Engineer

Location: Local office in Singapore or Malaysia, working closely with suppliers and strategic sourcing and procurement teams.

hirify.global develops DUV machine solutions and is establishing local supplier development engineering teams across Southeast Asia to support supplier quality, sourcing, and manufacturing activities.

What you will do

• Act as the technical interface between engineering teams and suppliers for repair parts, components, modules, new parts, and transfers.
• Manage supplier quality engineering and technical supplier management activities, including early supplier involvement, design reviews, and design for manufacturing, assembly, testing, and cost.
• Coordinate technical deliverables and documentation, including statements of work, product document acceptance, prototype evaluation reports, test coverage documents, first article inspections, PFMEA, and customer acceptance tests.
• Manage material quality notifications and deviation notices, resolving part quality issues through structured problem-solving techniques.
• Drive supplier development, operational excellence, improvement actions, supplier audits, and monitoring of key process parameters and KPIs.
• Contribute to supplier account teams, technology roadmaps, supplier capability assessments, supplier profile audits, continuous improvement plans, and new supplier selection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Systems and Control, or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering.
• Ability to initiate, influence, make decisions, and work with a pragmatic, results-driven approach.
• Strong networking and communication skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Understanding of change management principles, including BoM structures and engineering changes.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under applicable United States export administration regulations before starting work.

Nice to have

• Experience with quality systems and methods such as Six Sigma.
• Experience in engineering for production processes.
