Compensation: $146,400 – $375,100 USD (Total Target Compensation/OTE based on geographic zone).

What you will do

• Lead pre-sales technical activities including discovery, solution architecture, and product demonstrations.
• Scope, manage, and drive proof-of-concepts (POCs) to technical closure.
• Translate customer business objectives into Kubernetes data protection requirements.
• Collaborate with ecosystem partners like AWS and Red Hat to advance co-sell opportunities.
• Provide structured product feedback to the Kasten Product Management team.
• Travel up to 40% within the US West and Central regions.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 7+ years of pre-sales or solutions engineering experience in enterprise software.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based products (e.g., OpenShift, EKS).
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes data protection, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Proven ability to present complex technical concepts to senior enterprise stakeholders.
• Experience with enterprise procurement processes and channel dynamics.

Nice to have

• Background selling to enterprise DevOps, Platform Engineering, or IT Operations teams.
• Experience with VMware Tanzu ecosystems.
• Experience launching or growing new products in enterprise account bases.
• Previous experience in high-growth or scaling startup environments.
