What you will do

• Operate across the full ML lifecycle, from problem framing and data modeling to deployment and monitoring.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to MLEs and SWEs, setting standards for modeling and systems craft.
• Develop evaluation and quality monitoring systems for content signals using modern LM-judge practices.
• Define SLOs, alerting, and dashboards to ensure operational excellence for high-traffic ML systems.
• Build and evolve content understanding capabilities for commercial conversations to power ad-targeting and insights.
• Lead LLM best practices, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and model distillation efforts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant MLE experience delivering production ML systems at scale.
• Demonstrated Senior-level technical leadership in architecture and design reviews.
• Experience building and shipping NLP or content understanding models to production.
• Strong communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs to cross-functional teams.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Practical experience using LLMs in production for labeling, evaluation, or distillation.
• Proficiency with PyTorch or TensorFlow and production-quality Python code.
• Experience with statically typed languages like Go, Java, or C++.
• Background in designing ML systems for high-traffic surfaces.
