Manager I, Engineering - Experiments

Location: New York, New York, USA

Salary: $192,000–$240,000 USD per year, plus equity and potential variable compensation.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow one to two squads of full-stack and frontend engineers.
• Own delivery of the Experimentation App from planning through production.
• Set technical direction with engineers and statistics engineers, evaluating architecture and tradeoffs.
• Partner with Product, Design, engineers, and customers to shape requirements and roadmap priorities.
• Promote fast iteration and high engineering standards through code reviews, design reviews, and blameless postmortems.
• Recruit, develop, and retain engineering talent as the team scales.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience as a people manager or technical leader with strong mentorship skills.
• 5+ years of experience building and shipping software.
• Experience with career development, performance management, team velocity optimization, and hiring.
• Strong technical background and the ability to engage credibly on architecture and engineering tradeoffs.
• Experience shipping products in fast-paced environments and balancing speed with quality.
• Eligibility for any required US government authorizations under US export control regulations.
