Salary: $137,000 - $205,400 USD

What you will do

• Architect, design, and manage DBaaS services for hirify.global's database infrastructure.
• Develop APIs to enhance the availability, scalability, and performance of databases running on multiple clouds.
• Create APIs and dashboards to measure and track database KPIs.
• Focus on observability and implement auto-remediation techniques for database monitoring.
• Provide technical support for large-scale database instances across production and development environments.
• Collaborate with service and performance teams to drive continuous architecture improvements and resiliency.

Requirements

• United States citizenship (naturalized or native) is mandatory.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (TS/SCI w/CI Poly preferred).
• 6+ years of experience managing mission-critical workloads on Aurora MySQL, RDS MySQL, and cloud-native databases.
• 6+ years of experience in database architecture, replication, clustering, and HA/DR.
• 2+ years of backend development experience using Golang, Python, or Java.
• 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and modern DevOps technologies.

Nice to have

• DoD 8570/8140 compliance with IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA CySA+, GICSP, CASP+).
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Terraform, Chef, and Ansible.
• Familiarity with Ceph Storage, Gluster, Orchestrator for MySQL, Percona MHA/Galera, or Vitess.
