Salary: $116,000 - $159,500

What you will do

• Design and implement evaluations for AI products used by clinicians and researchers to generate clinical insights.
• Develop AI-first products to turn clinical oncology data into actionable insights at scale.
• Collaborate with research scientists and oncologists to validate the scientific soundness of AI outputs.
• Work with software engineers to productionize, scale, and monitor the Product AI team's tools.
• Act as a subject matter expert for specific AI products to refine capabilities and understand future user needs.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience as an applied data scientist or in a similar technical data-oriented role.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python (including pandas or polars) and SQL.
• Strong understanding of AI system evaluation and the ability to analyze output quality.
• Experience working in a production development environment using formal version control.
• Must be based in New York (Hybrid role)

Nice to have

• Prior experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience working with data in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of machine learning bias, health equity research, or working with underrepresented clinical groups.
• Experience putting AI-based products and evaluation systems into production.
• Familiarity with the R coding language.
