TL;DR

Mechanical Engineer (CAD Visualization): Preparing and transforming CAD data into high-quality visualization data for internal and stakeholder use with an accent on material assignment, data cleaning, and QA. Focus on creating technical visualization images and structured data packages using CATIA V5, Deltagen, and Adobe Photoshop.

Location: Hybrid, 3-5 days/week on-site in Södertälje, Sweden

What you will do

  • Prepare and clean CAD geometry, simplifying and structuring data for visualization.
  • Perform material assignment and scene setup to ensure visualization-ready datasets.
  • Execute quality assurance and validation checks on visualization data.
  • Create technical visualization images for internal communication and downstream stakeholders.
  • Deliver structured visualization data packages to other departments.
  • Collaborate with product design, industrial styling, and market representatives within a cross-functional environment.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or Industrial Design.
  • Experience in 3D CAD environments, preferably with CATIA V5.
  • Background in automotive or commercial vehicle development.
  • Experience handling complex CAD assemblies and product structures.
  • English: Fluent (C1) required.
  • Location: Must be based in or able to work hybridly (3-5 days/week on-site) in Södertälje, Sweden.

Nice to have

  • Specialization in visualization, rendering, or surface modelling.
  • Experience with Deltagen, VRED, Blender, Alias, or Rhino.
  • Proficiency in image post-processing using Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
  • Previous experience with Scania or similar organizations.
  • Swedish language skills.
