Director, Strategic Sourcing (Aerospace)

Location: Fully Remote within the US or Hybrid in Buffalo, NY

Salary: $160,000 – $230,000 Annually

What you will do

• Lead global commodity strategies and sourcing initiatives aligned with business growth and supply chain requirements.
• Oversee supplier selection, qualification, and contract management while balancing cost, quality, and risk.
• Provide strategic leadership for Make vs. Buy decisions and supply base optimization efforts.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key suppliers to drive innovation and alignment.
• Manage and develop a global Strategic Sourcing team, promoting operational excellence.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Legal teams to negotiate supplier agreements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain leadership within global manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Operations.
• Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information and meet work authorization requirements.
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, EAR/ITAR, and aerospace industry standards.
• Experience leading global, multicultural, and geographically dispersed teams.
• Ability to travel globally as business needs require.
