Software Engineer (Distributed Web Applications & Cloud)

Location: Onsite in Columbia, Maryland; applicants must reside in the United States at the time of application.

Salary: USD $150,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain large-scale distributed web applications with Node.js, TypeScript, and Python.
• Design scalable microservices and backend systems for high-performance data processing and communication.
• Use DevOps automation and Infrastructure-as-Code to deploy and manage services in commercial cloud environments.
• Create CI/CD pipelines for secure and reliable software delivery.
• Collaborate with security researchers on offensive cyber and vulnerability research projects.
• Work with users and analysts to improve tooling and mission capabilities.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, or a technical bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience.
• Professional experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python.
• Experience building enterprise-grade distributed web applications and system architectures.
• Experience with DevOps automation, cloud service providers such as AWS, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Knowledge of software engineering principles, version control, testing frameworks, agile workflows, high-side development environments, and non-attributed network configurations.

Nice to have

• Experience or interest in offensive cyber operations, vulnerability research, and software reverse engineering.
• Knowledge of Android application architecture and mobile vulnerability research.
• Low-level programming experience with C/C++ and debuggers such as gdb.
