What you will do

• Design and ship core platform services end to end, operating them as self-service capabilities for operating-company engineers.
• Steward platform architecture and standards by defining reference architecture, golden paths, and paved roads via the Architecture Council.
• Advance AI-first software delivery by building and evolving templates, pipelines, and golden paths that increase developer throughput.
• Own reliability, security, and cost for built services: define SLIs/SLOs, instrument observability, run incident response, and reduce toil via automation.
• Set the technical bar through hands-on engineering, code review, and mentorship, helping build an engineering community across the portfolio.

Requirements

• 15+ years across platform engineering disciplines (platform engineering, cloud, DevOps, SRE, and software engineering), including hands-on experience operating services used by multiple teams/business units.
• Hands-on experience building internal developer platforms and shared services (self-service, golden paths, API versioning/backward compatibility) with a platform-as-product mindset.
• Strong hands-on cloud expertise on AWS (or Azure/GCP), including containers/Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Pulumi), networking, identity, security posture, and cost.
• Deep hands-on CI/CD and GitOps experience building and operating delivery pipelines and environment automation.
• Production-ownership experience with SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, observability, incident response, capacity planning, and toil reduction through automation.
• Fluency in at least one modern backend language (Go, Python, TypeScript, or similar) and strong API/design sensibility; plus hands-on cloud-native security expertise (IAM, OAuth/OIDC, secrets/workload identity, certificate lifecycle, policy-as-code, secure supply chain).

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and agentic coding workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) to define best practices and guardrails.
