What you will do

• Partner with the Head of Payroll to shape and deliver features aligned with business goals.
• Decompose strategic initiatives into detailed user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Document complex workflows using data flow and sequence diagrams.
• Validate technical feasibility and ensure compliance with data protection and payment security frameworks.
• Coordinate iterative development cycles and drive agile ceremonies.
• Triage bugs and functional queries as the primary technical point of contact.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United Kingdom
• Proven experience as a technical business analyst in cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong experience developing or managing dedicated payments or payroll software products.
• Expertise in mapping complex technical requirements using data flow and sequence diagrams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to persuade stakeholders.
• Proficiency in agile frameworks and iterative sprint delivery.

Nice to have

• Background in Payments, Finance, or EdTech sectors.
• Experience working in AI-native workflow environments.
