Software Engineering Manager (.NET/Azure)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global corporate office in McKinney, Texas, United States. Periodic travel to corporate offices and operational locations nationwide is required.

What you will do

• Lead the development and delivery of high-quality web applications in an Agile and DevOps environment.
• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Security, and business stakeholders to translate needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Guide technical roadmaps and recommend improvements to system design, architecture, security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Lead project lifecycles using .NET, C, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Azure, Git, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Manage and mentor a team of 2–5 software engineers, including performance evaluations, pay planning, promotions, budgeting, and leave management.
• Establish engineering metrics, resolve complex technical issues, mediate conflicts, and drive responsible adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience developing cloud-native applications with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
• Hands-on leadership experience managing small engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Advanced experience with Azure Functions, Azure API Management, .NET, C, RESTful APIs, backend systems, integrations, and SQL.
• Experience with scalable microservices or SOA systems, security protocols, access control, authorization, OWASP principles, unit testing, and mocking frameworks.
• Experience with DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, logging, system architecture, and design patterns.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, eCommerce environments, cloud or software architecture certifications, Scrum certifications, DevOps certifications, or security certifications.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience leading large cross-functional teams and complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
