What you will do

• Lead teams in identifying, interpreting, and communicating privacy and information security risks across the university.
• Develop and maintain a risk register aligned with enterprise risk management processes.
• Oversee enterprise Privacy Impact and Security Threat Risk Assessment services.
• Provide strategic risk advice to leadership regarding cybersecurity, system resilience, and emerging technologies like AI.
• Direct the Information Security Compliance Support Program and related initiatives.
• Mentor a multidisciplinary team of privacy and information security analysts.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 11 years of related experience, including at least 5 years of managerial experience.
• Minimum 4 years of specialized experience in the design and implementation of major computer systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of FIPPA and information security best practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and influence stakeholders across the university.

Nice to have

• Professional designations such as CRMA, CGEIT, CRISC, CISA, or PMP.
• Experience in a higher education institution.
• Extensive experience with frameworks like COBIT and ISO 27002.
