What you will do
- Design and implement advanced PostgreSQL schemas with row-level security for multi-tenant applications.
- Build and maintain async-heavy backend services using FastAPI and Pydantic.
- Architect scalable data pipelines and orchestrate complex multi-stage data processing workflows.
- Write and maintain OpenAPI contracts to serve as the development specification for cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with AI/LLM leads on output validation, deterministic data integration, and system reliability.
- Take ownership of technical design through successful delivery of performant and secure code.
Requirements
- Must be based in Mexico
- 5+ years of experience in Python as a primary backend language.
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL architecture, including RLS and multi-tenancy.
- Experience with FastAPI or equivalent async Python frameworks.
- Proven background in data pipeline orchestration, ETL processes, and async processing.
- Proficiency in English for daily collaboration in a global team.
- Experience with contract-first or API-first development using OpenAPI.
Nice to have
- Experience with LLM/AI system integration from a data perspective.
- Knowledge of AWS RDS, IAM, and secrets management.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
- Experience with migration tools like Alembic.
