Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Barcelona, Spain. The role follows a hybrid model requiring a minimum of 6 days per month in the office.

What you will do

  • Lead engineering for a topic team to ship high-quality software on predictable schedules.
  • Coach engineers and foster a culture of growth through regular one-on-ones and career development conversations.
  • Provide vision, purpose, and visibility to teams while ensuring effective communication.
  • Implement process improvements and iterate on engineering culture.
  • Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new engineers.
  • Set expectations, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading engineering teams.
  • Very strong verbal English communication skills.
  • Experience with participatory management or servant leadership.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Barcelona.

Nice to have

  • Previous exposure to Tribes & Squads organizational models.
  • Spanish language proficiency.
